PSF is grateful to be able to count on the support of our partners. Today, we tell you a little bit more about one of them.
ORVAULT SPORT TENNIS DE TABLE
Could you introduce your club ?
Orvaut Sport Tennis de Table has 42 years of seniority and is located in Orvault, near Nantes. We have about ten teams in adults championship, two female teams and six young teams. Before the pandemic, the club had 303 players with half below eighteen years.
We are offering “baby ping” and we are also welcoming retirees of the city of Orvault, which means a total diversity of ages but also 15% of females.
We are affiliated to the French Federation of Table Tennis, to the French Federation of Handisport but also to the the French Federation of Adapted Sports.
We have a specific gymnasium who can welcome nine tables during competitions and 18 to 20 during training sessions.
Within the association, we really want to share values that are close to our heart : respect for the other, mutual support, frendliness but also exchanges between all generations.
Why did you become a PSF partner?
As an association, it is important for us to be part of the associative community and the concept proposed by PSF totally matches with our values.
Which values do you share with PSF?
To use sports as an education tool for the kids and especially to use table tennis, but also the respect and the notion of sharing.
Do you have any quotation to share with us?
“To give, to receive, to share : those basic virtues of an athlete are timeless. They are sports”, by Aimé Jacquet (french trainer of the french football team during the world cup in 1998)
